Thanksgiving Tablescape

Looking to add some life to your dining room table for Thanksgiving this year? We’re here to help you!

Start with a fun tablecloth and placemats.

Find some fun plaid, red, orange, or green ones from Homegoods or Target and you’re set!

Next, pick out some pretty plates.

We like to stick with solid-colored ones so we can use patterns on tablecloths or napkins!

If you have some special sterling silver silverware, it’s always best to use that on special occasions.

If not, pick out some gold silverware at Target to use! It adds a pretty aesthetic.

Choose some napkins that complement your tablecloth.

Use napkin rings that match your silverware!

Now, find some pumpkins at your grocery store to create a centerpiece with.

We like to make a circle with them around a pretty candle in the center of the table, or line them up in a line down the center of the table!

If you want to get really fancy with it, pick out some pretty leaves from outside, grab a gold or silver paint pen and write each guests’ name.

Then, place the leaves at each place setting!

And that’s that! You’ve got a gorgeous Thanksgiving tablescape. Now, it’s time to let us come in and clean it up for you! Having your home cleaned right now is more important than it’s ever been before. Give us a call (404-913-6699) or a get quote online here.

Fall Decor Ideas

Do you love decorating for fall?! SAME. So we came up with some fun ideas to make your home aesthetic POP this fall.

Blankets, throws, and pillows!

Find some fun plaid throw pillows and blankets for couches and beds. Pick out orange, rust, red, brown, cream, or gray blankets for beds!

Pumpkins and gourds are your friends.

Place all shapes, colors, and sizes all around your house (and outside, too of course!)

Add a fun centerpiece to your dining room and/or breakfast area tables!

Large, tall clear glass vases are very on-trend right now, so find some fun yellow flowers/plants to add to them. Or opt for clay pots/vases to add a lovely terracotta accent. Use pinecones, pampas grass, and cattail plants to add a rustic vibe.

Brighten up your powder room

Add a small vase with a couple of fresh-cut flowers (any orange, yellow, or red color works!) and a small pumpkin or two.

CANDLES!!

Add some yummy fall-smelling candles (we love the ones from Bath & Body Works or Target) to your coffee table and around the house. For the dining room table, pick out some colored candles (autumnal colors only!!).

And that’s that! You’ve got a gorgeous fall home to come home to. Now, it’s time to let us come in and clean it up for you! Having your home cleaned right now is more important than it’s ever been before. Give us a call (404-913-6699) or a get quote online here.

Back to School Adjustments

Whether your kids are headed back to school full-time or are going to be studying remotely, adjustments need to be made accordingly in order to ensure that everyone stays as healthy as possible!

Some ideas for keeping your home CLEAN as your kids head back to school:

– Put a large selection of face masks in a bin by the front door for them to grab each day.

-Buy them mini bottles of hand sanitizer to put in their backpacks.

-Start a sanitizing routine for when they return home from school — pull out their books, phones, notebooks, and so on from their backpacks and wipe them down with Clorox wipes, etc.

-Make sure you and your kids are removing your shoes every time you come into your home (leave them in the garage).

-Change hand and bath towels every day.

-Keep at-home supplies like pens and markers in easy-to-clean containers, and have the kids sanitize them after each use.

-If your kids are back in school, have them change clothes when they return home.

-Be vigilant about wiping down germy areas, like countertops and doorknobs.

-Stock up on vitamins and make them a daily routine for the kids!

-Be sure to feed the kids healthy foods that are low in sugar and high in nutrients. Make sure they drink tons of water and clean their water bottles EVERY DAY!

How to Declutter

Do you ever just sit down and realize that your house is a cluttered mess?! We can all agree that since quarantine started, we have quickly realized how many of the things we own can be donated or are just taking up space! Here are some easy steps to declutter your home:

WHAT IS WORTH KEEPING?

Have you used it recently…?

WHAT DO I DO WITH MY OLD CLOTHES?

Goodwill. Thrift shops.

WHAT DO I DO WITH MY OLD FURNITURE?

Goodwill. Thrift shops. Sell it on Facebook Marketplace!

HOW TO SUSTAINABILITY DECLUTTER:

Find local recycling centers or check with your neighborhood garbage service to see if they pick up recycling. You can recycle paper, plastic, batteries, ink toner cartridges, cans, and anything else that has the recycle sign.

FLIPPING OLD FURNITURE OR EVEN CLOTHES:

Make a fun project out of transforming furniture into something new by sanding and painting it, or create something new entirely using scraps! Use old clothes as dust rags, or upcycle them by tie-dying them!

ONE LAST NOTE: Create a home compost bin by using food scraps, for example, eggshells, leftover vegetables, and fruit, and used coffee grounds. If you have a home garden you can use your compost to help grow your plants.
