Fun DIY Fall Decor
Spooky season is here! It’s time to decorate your home with pumpkins and skeletons once again. This time, you can make your decor at HOME and your kiddos can help! We’ve put together a list of fun DIY fall decorations.
-Painted pumpkins
You can place pumpkins anywhere around your home or on your porch or front steps and they’ll look adorable! Have the kids decorate them with paint and they’ll be more special and fun.
-Leaf or pinecone napkin rings
Have the kids gather some leaves or mini pinecones, and spray paint them gold. Thread some yarn through them or use black twist ties to make them into napkin rings!
-Pretty fall flower arrangements
Take the kids to the grocery store and pick out some pretty flowers in shades of color that celebrate the season. Go for deep reds, oranges, and yellows! Then arrange them into bouquets to spread around your home.
-Planning a party? Make mini pumpkin place cards!
Grab some spare fabric (or pick up some from the store) and cut it into 1×3 inch rectangles. Use a fabric pen to write your guests’ names on them. Then use pushpins to fasten them to mini pumpkins at each place.
-Homemade fall wreath
Purchase a woven wreath (with just wood or a simple base, no flowers). Buy some felt fabric in colors of your choice, draw different leaf shapes into it, and cut them out! Use a glue gun to glue them to your wreath.
-Dried leaf garland
Have the kids collect a bunch of dried leaves and string them on a piece of yarn or whatever you’ve got handy. Spice up your outdoor staircase with a fun garland! Feel free to add plaid bows to the ties on the spots where the garland is tied to the posts.
-Painted mason jar vases
Supply your kiddos with orange, white, red, and yellow paints. Have them paint designs on mason jars and then use them as flower vases or place tea candles in them.
Ready to decorate, but feel like your home could use a good deep clean beforehand? We’ve got you covered.
