Make Your Microwave NEW Again

Microwave ovens are pretty awesome inventions, but they are often used when we are in a rush to be somewhere and need a quick meal on-the-go. This sometimes means we forget to cover our food with a lid or paper towel before placing it in the microwave…and after a while, it ends up looking pretty gnarly in there.

So, we’ve come up with an easy way to clean yours out! The best part is, you’ve probably already got all of the ingredients in your home, and it won’t take you longer than 20 minutes.

Gather Your Supplies:

  1. A few lemons
  2. Apple cider vinegar – buy yours here
  3. Water
  4. Microwave-safe glass bowl or measuring cup – buy one here
  5. One clean sponge – buy one here

Mix your ingredients.

Slice your lemons and place them in your bowl or measuring cup. Next, add about ¼ cup of your apple cider vinegar. Fill the rest of the bowl up with water.

Microwave it for 3 minutes.

Depending on the age of your microwave, you may need to leave it on for a minute or two longer. The water must be hot enough to create a hot steam.

Let it sit.

Don’t open the microwave door when it’s done. Leave the bowl/cup in there for about 10 minutes so the steam can slowly lift the dried on food. Set a timer if you need to!

Wipe!

Dampen your clean sponge. Use it to wipe away any food debris and grime inside of your microwave.

TaDa! You now have a sparkly-clean microwave oven.

We’d love to help you with some regular maintenance with a monthly cleaning service!

May those who love us love us. And those who hate us may God turn their hearts. And if he doesnt turn their hearts may he turn their ankles so well know them by their limping.
