7 Clean Home Tips for Cold Season

Keeping your home clean is so important as we’re coming up on cold and flu season. Follow our tips below!

-Keep your phones clean.

Use disinfectant to clean your family’s phones at least once or twice a week! They are one of the germiest items found in a home!

-Mop floors often.

Use a disinfecting cleaner to mop your floors, and consider getting into the habit of leaving shoes by the door when you come into the home.

-Soak kids’ toys in hot soapy water often.

Kids tend to pick up nasty bugs from preschools and schools and then bring them home.

-Keep surfaces like doorknobs clean.

Look out for anything like doorknobs, countertops, locks, remote controls, drawer and cabinet pulls, and more that is touched often, and make sure to disinfect them often!

-Wash bedsheets and bath towels weekly in hot water.

Switch out hand towels every two days.

-Replace your air filter often.

Also, consider purchasing an air purifier!

-Be diligent in cleaning your bathrooms.

Set a reminder for yourself to clean every bathroom in the house every Sunday. This will also help you get a fresh and clean start to the week each Monday morning! There’s nothing like a sparkling-clean washroom.
